Blues and Rock Musicians Gator and Mudcat

Michael "Mudcat" Reames

Michael "Mudcat" Reames

Michael “Mudcat” Reames came to Frisco, Texas, from Oak Cliff—by way of New Orleans.  In an odyssey that took him from playing as a teenager with Stevie Ray Vaughan in the band Liberation, to jamming with the fledgling ZZ Top, singing in a Yes tribute band, rocking the New Orleans Club scene, then returning to North Texas after Katrina blew it all away, Mudcat has pretty much seen it all.  He was an initial founder of the non-profit Collin County Songwriters Association, and is now its senior ambassador.  Through it all, the singing, guitar, percussion, and blues harmonica playing hasn’t stopped.

Wayne "Gator" Folse

Wayne "Gator" Folse

Wayne “Gator” Folse is a stellar blues and rock guitarist.  Performing in New Orleans for over 25 years, Gator is a veteran in the festival and concert arena, playing with such notables as the legendary "Coasters" as well as show and casino bands. Versatile and always entertaining, Gator combines many techniques on the guitar and vocals to give a unique blend of blues and rock with a little country and Cajun, as evidenced by his tour with Allen Fontenot and the Country Cajuns. A must see for anyone interested hearing "unique guitar in the hands of a master."

Gator and Mudcat are a songwriting team with a catalog of previous releases.  They are putting the finishing touches on a new CD project at The Vault Recording in Houston, where Mudcat is the not-so-silent partner of producer/engineer, David Williams (former drummer for Hall and Oates, Diana Ross, The O’Jays, etc., and former record company executive).
