Haitian Relief

I had such a wonderful experience today, I must tell you about it. I played for a benefit for Haitian Relief, the benefit was being sponsored by a local college gov’t assoc, and they asked me to perform, Gator was in New Orleans at the time and would not be able to make the engagement. So Mudcat did it solo. this is similar to the old adage of a one legged man at a butt kicking contest! I was apprehensive. The reason for this confession is that when I arrived at the gig, I was greeted as “royalty” the heaviest thing I moved into the area was myself holding only my cane. The staff and other volunteers could not have been nicer, everything I wanted, they setup and provided. I enjoyed the interviews of the radio as well as the newspaper. All very professional. The main thing is I volunteered and I got rewarded, and I got to meet some wonderful young people.
